Community Language School

The Community Language School offers a variety of programs for children and youth. In the summer we offer week-long day-camps on campus. Our enrichment programs at area elementary schools introduce children to different cultures and their languages.

What: Virtual Language Classes for Children & Teens

Our online language courses are designed to provide a fun, virtual learning environment which will introduce kids to different languages and cultures with a focus on developing oral communication skills  Our family programs are offered for kids 3-6 years of age, kids programs for children 6-9 years and pre-teen/teen programs for kids 10-14 years of age.

When: Online programs are scheduled over two 5-week sessions. 

• Session 1 (weeks of June 6- July 4, 2022) Registration deadline - May 20th, 2022
• Session 2 ( weeks of July 11-August 8, 2022)Registration deadline - June 24th, 2022

FOR SUMMER 2022, WE ARE OFFERING ONLINE CLASSES *ONLY* FOR PRE-TEENS &TEENS (AGES10-14)

We require a minimum enrollment of 8 students to run every program and wil cap each program at 10 students. If you are unable to enroll because a program has reached its maximum limit, please email Sandhya Shanker at shankers@msu.edu to be included on the waitlist.
