MSU in the 313 Pre-College Summer Experience
MSU in the 313 Pre-College Summer Experience aims to make a world-class Michigan State University education a reality for Detroit-area youth in grades 6–12 who live in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties.
MSU Spartan Youth Programs offer middle school and high school students from across Michigan a chance to experience campus life firsthand through a variety of college programs.
About the Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to make MSU’s summer youth programs accessible to Detroit-area students by encouraging them to apply to residential summer programs and eliminating financial barriers to participation.
Students must apply to their program of choice separately. Once accepted to a program, they may apply for this scholarship. MSU is committed to enhancing the student experience and will stay in contact with program participants to evaluate their experience.
The scholarship application deadline varies according to the program acceptance date. Keep in mind that scholarship funds are limited and considerations for funding are based on demonstrated financial need. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email and/or phone.
