Program: Intensive Study in Non-Fiction v. Fiction Writing: Focus on Space and Place

Who: Students currently in grades 6-9

What: A one-week program students will examine setting as the character, working with describing places as they are, places imagined realistically, and places imagined without these realistic coundaries.

MSU youth programs, as defined by the MSU Youth Programs policy, are recommended to not occur in-person on the MSU campus, at satellite MSU venues, or off-campus until further notice. Where: Virtual

Cost: There is a $50 non-refundable application fee. Tuition for residential students is $1,500. Tuition for commuter students is $750.

Application Requirements: Students currently in grades 6-9; ACT Math: 18, ACT English: 18, ACT Reading:18 or ACT Composite: 19; OR New SAT Math: 500, Evidence-Based Reading & Writing: 500 or Total: 980; OR CogAT: 90th Percentile; teacher recommendation; most recent report card.
